David Dossett – TheHip This artwork pays tribute to The Tragically Hip, a Canadian rock band formed in Kingston, Ontario, in 1984. The band, comprising Gord Downie, Paul Langlois, Rob Baker, Gord Sinclair, and Johnny Fay, released 13 studio albums and over 50 singles during their 33-year career. Known for their Canadian chart-topping success and numerous Juno Awards, the Hip's final concert was held in Kingston in 2016, following Downie's diagnosis with terminal brain cancer. David Dossett is a Kingston-based artist renowned for his relaxed, impressionistic style and dedication to community engagement. As the creator of Martello Alley and visionary behind public art initiatives like Froid’Art and Jardin’Art, he aims to connect art and community.
